Tara Dawn Greene Estep, 31, of Lucasville, died Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Born Jan. 23, 1978, in Portsmouth, a daughter of Orlin Tillson (Reva) Greene and Cathy A. Burnside Greene and her fiancé Rick Nance, she received her master’s degree in elementary education at Ohio University, was a fourth-grade teacher at Minford Local Schools and a former varsity volleyball coach for Minford High School.
Tara was a member of Stockdale Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, and a member of Stockdale Ladies Group.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Roger Estep, whom she married Oct. 18, 1997; one son, Riley Paul Estep, 7 years old; one daughter, Ella Dawn Estep, 2 years old; two brothers, Brandon H. (Heather) Greene and Kevin Allen (Becca) Greene; two nieces, Breanna Michelle Greene and Mackenzie Sue Greene; one nephew, Braydon John Bethel Greene; maternal grandfather, John H. Burnside; father-in-law, Chester Estep, and step-grandfather, Orville Marcum.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lonnie Bethel “Babe” Greene and Doris M. Greene; maternal grandmother, Cora E. “Sue” Burnside, and mother-in-law, Wanda Estep.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Minford Middle School in Minford with Rick Evans, Greg Sowards and James Spencer officiating.
Burial will be at Owl Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at Minford Middle School from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Arrangements are under the direction of Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford.
